These classes are for potters that have completed at least 3 class sessions at Recovering Clay. Learn to throw larger, more consistent pieces and expand your skills as a potter.

Returning potters (18+)

Refining wheel throwing or handbuilding techniques, glazing, firing process (includes instruction, studio access, tool use) and cultivate each maker's unique style.
Join us for these fun sessions as a date night, activity with friends or family, or a solo activity to center yourself. This is a great way to experience pottery without making the bigger commitment to a 6 week session.

Beginners and those seeking a unique experience
What you’ll learn:
Wheel throwing or handbuilding techniques; no experience required. (Glazing and finishing completed by studio staff.)
Come out for a specialized workshop focusing on building a particular skill, making a specific project, or learning from the hands of a guest instructor.

This class is a great way for children ages 7 and up to experience a new art form and connect with their creative side.

Beginners & returning potters (Ages 7-15)
What you’ll learn:

10 pottery wheels (including 1 standing wheel)
Slab roller, extruder, wedging tables, and drying racks
Full handbuilding toolkit and texture tools
House glazes and underglazes
Clay available for purchase (Each classs includes (1) 25lb bag of your choice)
Electric kiln services (gas kiln coming 2026)
Clean-up sinks and shelving for works-in-progress
